Description

A beautiful example of what can be done with patience, expertise and a lot of practice. This is a copy of a 19th century Heriz, made in the German factory of Teftset circa 1940. They have faithfully copied the design and colours or a Persian carpet with very high quality wool. One of the nicest I have seen and in perfect condition. These are machine made rugs that nevertheless have a great deal of charm and individual qualities. I have rarely seen the same design copied twice, they took inspiration from allover the world. An actual 19th century Heriz with these colours and design would 3 or 4 times the price.
