Antique Silver Paste and Enamel Screwback Earrings

Description

Beautiful sparkling foil-backed paste earrings with black enamel detailing and a pierced scrollwork back which is almost as pretty as the front. The screws and drops are sterling silver, with tiny rose gold connectors between the three paste sections, a lovely detail.

• Condition: The earrings are in very good antique condition. A few of the pastes are green (this happens usually when moisture has affected the foil behind the stones). The enamel is intact with minor surface wear but no chips or cracks.

• Fixing: Screw backs suitable for pierced or non-pierced ears.

• Era: Estimated 19th century, continental Europe.

• Size: 3.1 x 1.6cm.

• Weight: 7.5g.
