Edwardian Silver Double Trough-shaped Stamp Box by Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1903

Description

This good Edwardian silver double stamp box has a lovely semi-circular form. It is dated Birmingham 1903 and bears the marks of the prolific Levi & Salaman. The glazed lid encasing two stamps. The sprung hinged cover is lined internally with red leather. It is raised on four ball feet and has a gilt interior.

Hallmarks:

L&S for Levi & Salaman.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "d" for 1903.

Dimensions:

Length: 6cm / 2.3 inches.

Width: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.

Height: 2cm / 0.6 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Strong hinge.
