Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian stamp dispenser box is a specialised desktop accessory designed during the nineteenth century to store, moisten, or apply postage stamps. These mechanical or compartmented containers gained popularity following the introduction of adhesive postage stamps in 1840.

Antique stamp applicators were commonly constructed from brass, nickel, or silver-plated copper and electroplated base metals. The cases often featured relief moulding, engraved lettering, or spring-loaded interior mechanisms.

Authentic MacNeills patent stamp boxes generally display impressed patent markings, makers stamps, or characteristic embossed motifs such as the profile of Queen Victoria. Check for period-correct construction details, natural metal wear, and functional internal mechanisms.

An antique stamp dispenser can be styled as a refined accent piece on an executive office desk, atop a stack of books, or displayed within a curio cabinet. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for adding historical character to modern study shelving or writing slopes.

Clean silver-plated metal accessories gently using a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild silver polish. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could strip the thin silver layer or damage underlying brass or copper base metals.
