Antique Furniture Direct has dated this Victorian Walnut Nursing Chair to the 1870s.
The serpentine shaped seat is generously sized with more carving to the apron and it stands on cabriole legs to the front and swept rear legs terminating in brass and ceramic casters. The walnut frame in good original condition with beautiful patina, shaped and crisply carved in the Rococo manner. This beautiful chair would grace any room.

Solid frame, with good colour and patina with wear and marks commensurate with age. The upholstery is good, but the fabric is bleached/discoloured to the right hand side of the seat which would benefit recovering.
