A very fine French Empire mantel clock of petite proportions. The superbly cast and mercury gilded case depicting Music & Poetry.
To the right a flaming torchere is supporting a lyre. The stepped base with waterleaf moulding and ball feet. The eight day silk suspension movement countwheel striking the hour & half hour on a bell. Retaining the original matt & burnished gilding.
