Description

This is a great 19th century ebony engine turned  snuff box by J A Barne. Probably commerorating both the tricentenary and bicentenary respectively of both Shakespeare and Handel.

 It has Guiliemus Shakespeare, the full name on his baptism records from the parish where he was born, on the front panel along with Shakespeares head and shoulders . On the other side  the name George Fredric Handel  along with a carving of him.

Really good crisp features to both men. Made to represent the tricentenary and bicentenary of both men.

It measures 7cm w.
