WelshAntiques has dated this Georgian Chippendale Wall Mirror to the Georgian era.

The embellishments have, in the main, their original water-gilt finish (the most expensive technique), with some later touching-up to parts of the glass surround and the lower floral motif.
The reverse has the rare survival of the maker's label - that of James Stanley Johnston, "Carver, Gilder and Picture Frame Manufacturer" of Swansea, south Wales.
