Raised on quadruple brass inlaid sabre leg supports on finely-cast claw castors and wheels .
The lid of the caddy/chest with a panel of profuse brass inlay , with further brass string line inlay throughout.

The hinged top opening to reveal a red-lined lid , the interior fitted with twin hinged and removable rectangular tea canisters together with a central glass mixing bowl.
The sides of the chest fitted with original cast brass decorative ring carrying handles .Fitted with original lock and working key .

In superb original condition with a rich colour and patina to the highly figured rosewood. The brass inlay all complete with no losses or lifting .
A piece of flamboyantly-designed Regency period furniture from an era when imported fashionable tea was an important and expensive commodity served in a polite ritual within high society circles .
