Victorian Natural Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Marquise Cluster Ring, Circa 1900

Description

An exceptional antique sapphire and diamond marquise cluster ring. The trio of sapphires in the centre - certified as natural and unheated - display a rich, inky blue. The sapphires are surround by twelve old mine cut diamonds in claw settings. Orate shoulders leads to a slim 18k D-shaped shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphires show no evidence of heating.

Cut: Cushion cut sapphires and old mine cut diamonds.

Colour: The diamonds range from G to I.

Clarity: The sapphires are loupe clean. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI1.

Carat: The centre sapphire is approximately 0.50 carat, with a total approximate sapphire weight of 0.70 carat. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.84 carat.

Circa: 1900.

Size: M (UK) or 6 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The centre sapphire is approximately 5.4 x 4.7mm. The head of the ring is 19.4 x 10.1mm ands sits 4.2mm from the finger.

Weight: 4.21 grams.

Metal: 18k yellow gold. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
