Pyrontique has dated this French Bronze Clock Garniture to the 1880s.
A striking centrepiece, the figures are cast in bronzed spelter and stand on a beautifully variegated marble adorned with gilt ormolu.

The clock face has a pretty painted dial with Arabic numerals and a brass bezel. It retains the original hands. The maker's name A. CARRE from Niort is marked on the dial.
The eight day movement strikes on the hour and the half hour and the movement is in working order.

The matching garniture / candelabra each hold five candles and stand on gilt ormolu feet.
The stamp 'Fabrication Française Paris Made In France' is on the woman's dress.
All in very good condition with only one small repair to the branch held by the child.
