Victorian Antique Silver and Walnut Travelling Vanity Box. 1877

Description

A stunningly beautiful feathered walnut antique Victorian travelling vanity box with silver hallmarked lidded jars. The silver made by George Betjaman & Son of London in 1877, the box and accessories made by Richard Mathew of 78 Buchanan Street in Glasgow. The box features the following; original working key, secret lock which releases the mirror, button release for bottom tray, complete manicure lift out tray, 10 piece silver topped bottle set, three bottles with stoppers and screw on lids, lift out bottle tray to allow access to jewellery compartment and the box is bound in brass. It is in excellent condition, all bottles are undamaged, overall the best travel box I have seen.

WEIGHT; 170grams of weighable silver.
