Cockbeaded design moulding to the front edge of the frame surrounding the drawers, figured walnut veneers to the sides. The original unaltered stand with broad waist supporting the top section, single shallow drawer with veneers and crossbanding to match the top. Three turned legs to the front and matching legs to the rear supported by a swept base stretcher to all sides; turned bun feet below. Original brass pear drop fittings and fixings showing to the interior, matching lock escutcheons with period steel locks. Superb mellow colour and rich patina throughout with no damage and remarkably untouched for the period. Purchased directly from a discerning private collector.
