Large Georgian Copper Cauldron

Description

A large attractive antique Georgian cauldron with iron handle, ideal as a fireside log bin or coal scuttle, dating from circa 1800. A good bulbous shape, with brazed castellated seams to the base and sides, it has a nice heavy duty wrought iron swing handle set into riveted hoops. A characterful piece, the copper displays good patina and it has a nice Verdigris to the interior, the iron handle pitted and nicely worn with age. A super antique copper cauldron with solid joints and construction and a good large size, ideal for storage of coal, logs or kindling.
