Superb Victorian Walnut Letter Box

A top quality mid Victorian figured walnut country house post box with brass trim c.1875. The figured walnut box with hinged lancet top design lid bound with decorative brass trim; full width slot sat across the top for posting the mail. Glazed panel to the front for displaying the time of collection and removable cover allowing you to put your own message in. Matching brass trim to the base, drop handles to the sides with complementing lock escutcheon, working lock and original key. The hinged lid opening to reveal an oak veneered interior space to hold the mail. Presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and original patina.
