Antique silver Omega pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name, and it has the serial number 4,095,111 which dates it back to 1912.

The movement is protected by an inner cover which is engraved with the wording, ‘Geo Ric Kells, from his Company Officers, in token of his good services, 2.1.13’.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for London (import mark), 1911 together with the early Omega mark and also the SA mark for Selling Agency, watch importers. The case is in good condition, just four “dings” around the bezel. Nice crisp engine turned detail to the hinged case back.

The glass lens has a small chip underneath at the very bottom, not too noticeable.

The dial has a faint hairline running inwards from number 1.

The watch comes with a single albert, with two chains, which is working nicely. The chain measures 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, all hallmarked for sterling silver.

The watch and chain come in a vintage presentation box from a Camden Town jeweller, London.
