The top of the case with desirable arched top and hanging loop to the back. The original painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands along with the makers name E. Dobell of Hastings (Ebenezer Dobell is recorded as making clocks between 1855 & 1878). Double fusee movement with shaped plates and anchor escapement, strikes a bell on the hour. Presented in excellent condition with a deep polish, fully serviced and working. Measures 14" diameter x 6.5" deep with 12" dial.
