Good Worcester press moulded porcelain sauceboat with strap handle and relief moulded pattern of panels and flowers framing three reserves on each side and below the spout. Very well painted with The Fisherman & Billboard Island pattern, c.1760, classed as ''uncommon'' in Branyon, French & Sandon, section I.B.15. Blue crescent mark.
It measures 17cm (6 3/4'') long, 9cm (3 5/8'') wide and 9cm (3 5/8'') high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal handling wear. It has an underglaze smoothed nibble on the rim from manufacture and two small firing lines, one under the foot and the other under the handle.
