Edwardian Mahogany Gong Chiming Mantel Clock

A fine quality Edwardian figured mahogany lancet top mantle clock by Maples with 8 day gong chiming French movement c.1910. Figured mahogany case in lancet top shape with fruitwood strung edge to the front. Moulded plinth to the base with small bun feet below. Convex porcelain dial with Roman numerals and original blued steel hands, along with the retailers name Maples, London & Paris. 8 day Japy Freres Paris made movement with anchor escapement and gong chiming on the hour and half hour. Presented in excellent condition with a rich polish, the movement fully serviced and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 8" wide x 5" deep x 8" high.
