Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Etruscan Revival jewellery, prominent during the mid-to-late 19th century, was inspired by archaeological discoveries of ancient Etruscan tombs. Key features include intricate metalworking techniques such as filigree, granulation, concentric wirework, and central polished domes.

Victorian silver gilt jewellery was constructed from sterling or high-grade silver coated with a layer of gold, typically created through fire gilding or electroplating. Artisans utilised hand-formed wirework, hollow-stamped beads, and delicate solder joints to create substantial geometric designs without excess weight.

Authentic Victorian pieces display hand-crafted wire fittings, subtle variations in symmetry, and natural oxidisation in deep recesses. Look for characteristic 19th-century construction methods, including applied beadwork, hollow-core domes, and hand-bent ear wires.

These circular drop earrings provide a structured geometric accent to modern tailored clothing or formal eveningwear. Pairing them with clean necklines allows the detailed wirework and warm gold tones to function as a focal statement.

To protect the surface gilding, wipe the metal gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth without liquid polishes or abrasive chemical solvents. Store the earrings in a fabric-lined box away from moisture to prevent tarnish on the silver core.
