Victorian 9ct Gold Square Cross Wheel Earrings

Description

Pretty Victorian wheel-shaped earrings in nine-carat gold, each with a puffy Maltese cross dangling at the centre.

• Condition: In very good antique condition; one of the crosses has a tiny dent on the back near the top but it's almost imperceptible.

• Fixing: Nine-carat gold ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone "keepers" for additional security.

• Stamps/hallmarks: Both earrings have a British Design Registry kitemark (discontinued in 1883) at the centre but it's worn with age so impossible to decipher.

• Era: Victorian (pre-1883).

• Size: Approx 3.5cm drop from the top of the ear wire. The "wheel" section is 2.3cm diameter.

• Weight: 3.0g; the earrings are hollow and so lovely and light to wear.
