Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Karabagh carpets originate from the South Caucasus region, historically produced by regional weavers. They are recognized by geometric or floral motifs, vibrant natural dyes, and robust wool pile construction suitable for high-traffic areas.

Authentic Caucasian rugs are hand-knotted using locally sourced wool for both the pile and the underlying foundation warp and weft. Hand-spun yarns coloured with natural dyes create subtle variations in tone known as abrash.

Authentic examples exhibit hand-bound selvages, minor geometric irregularities, and subtle colour shifts across the pile. The reverse of the carpet displays a clear, flexible mirror image of the knotwork without rubber backing or synthetic adhesives.

A geometric wool runner adds texture and visual structure when positioned along corridors, landings, or wide entryways. Layering the textile over timber flooring or stone tiles creates balance alongside minimalist or traditional furnishings.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotary brush to preserve the wool pile. Utilize a high-quality non-slip rug pad underneath and rotate the carpet periodically to ensure even wear from foot traffic and light exposure.
