Description

This is an exquisite and rather rare French silver gilt and uranium glass scent bottle. It unusual because of its small size and uranium glass scents are few and far between. The silver gilt hinged lid mounted on a sliced-cut uranium green glass body heightened with gilt floral decorations. Retains its minute and original clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

French guarantee mark (Boar head in lozenge).

Dimensions:

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.

Width: 2cm / 0.6 inches.

Depth: 1cm / 0.4 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Gilt decorations faded, commensurate with age and use.

Lid in very good condition.

Glass in very good condition.
