Sturmans Antiques has dated this Silver Playing Card Box to the 1930s.
The hinged lid opening and lifting a two section inner silver gilt tray (hallmarked) with decorative scroll design arms to the side; tilting the playing cards at an angle to aid removal. Gilt lined lid interior to match the tray. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmith Adolph Scott along with clear hallmarks to all sections including the card tray.
