Description

A Superb Cylinder Desk in the manner of John Mclean. Finished all round, this beautiful desk is raised on turned and reeded legs, with brass castors and above has a kneehole bordered by drawers. The cylinder opens to reveal an interior with further drawers and a sliding leather writing surface. Above this are three more drawers and a "Byzantin" Belgium marble top with brass gallery. The desk is in very good and original condition and of very good quality, all the drawer linings are cedar and it retains its original locks, keys, castors and marble top. 1170mm high, 1120mm wide and 630mm deep. English. Circa 1820.
