This superb model by P. J. Mene is a lifetime cast ( cast in his lifetime and worked and finished by Mene himself ) , exhibited in the Paris Salon in 1859. The quality of the casting is superb with a black/brown patination and crisp detailing. Listed as No 34 in Mene's catalogue. Fondly termed ' The Good Companions ) it is one of the best loved of Mene's works.

Please not the black plinth shown in the last photo is a special display plinth but would be available if required.
