Unusual Edwardian Silver and Banded Agate Trowel Bookmark by Crisford & Norris, Birmingham 1908

Description

This delightful and rather rare silver and hardstone "trowel" bookmark is dated Birmingham 1908 and bears the marks of the renowned Crisford & Norris. The engraved silver ferrule inset with a banded agate handle. The agate handle a delicate and elegant colour. The blade fully hallmarked. it is a good useable size.

Hallmarks:

C&N for Crisford & Norris

Birmingham Assay mark.

Date letter "i" for 1908.

Lion passant (Partially obstructed by handle)

Dimensions:

Length: 9cm / 3.4 inches.

Maximum width: 2cm / 0.6 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Agate handle in perfect condition.
