Rare Novelty Silver Sewing Compendium by Carrington & Co, London 1913

Description

This rare George V solid silver sewing compendium is dated London 1913 and bears the marks of Carrington & Co. Of plain cylindrical form housing a three division reel centred by a needle case and cover. The inner cover lined with velvet and fitted with an associated silver thimble. This is a cleverly designed and still very functional silver piece. These sewing compendium are scarcely seen in such good and complete order.

C&Co for Carrington & Co.

London Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "s" for 1913.

Diameter: 2.5cm / 1 inch.

Condition:

Silver case in good condition with some minute dings, commensurate with age and use
