Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It stands on square chamfered legs united by a shaped under tier. The top lifts and folds open to reveal holes for bowls and containers (not present) for its original purpose as a washstand, but would now make a wonderful bedside cabinet or hall table.

Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. A few small pieces of veneer missing in places. Small gap/split to mahogany on top.
