Rare Georgian Silver Filigree Needle Book, Circa 1795

Description

This gorgeous Georgian silver filigree needle book dates circa 1795. Both front and back covers in elaborate scrolling quill work, the front with a central shield bearing the initial "M". The interior green moire silk lined with wallet compartment, The loops fitted with the original bone stylus.

Hallmarks:

Unmarked as was very often the case with such items but tested as silver.

Dimensions:

7.4cm x4.7cm.

Condition:

Very good.
