The top rising on a ratchet easel, and fitted with a book rest.

The body housing a slide out candle stand to one side, and to the other a drawer, fitted with a pen tray and compartments.
The top with a rotating action, released by a knob stay to the underside.
The table raised up on an hexagonal stem, broadening into a hexagonal baluster, before the three legs sweeping in a taper to the downswept toes.
Complete with lock and key for the writing drawer.
A most unusual table, and excellent quality throughout.

Depth 13 1/2 inches, 35cm.
