Early Victorian Burr Oak and Yew Writing Slope

A Victorian burr oak and yew banded writing slope with original fitted interior. The burr oak and yew banded edged exterior with drawer to the base and brass handles to the sides; the drawer compartment with internal locking pin. The box opening and folding over to form a writing surface with original crimson colour velvet covered surface. The writing slope opening to reveal a yew lined interior with pen and ink trays to the top edge and a further internal drawer below the surface, hinged opening storage compartments to both sides of the slope. Presented in superb original condition with a wonderful rich colour and original patina. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques.
