C18th mahogany pole-screen mounted with a rectangular Chinese painted oil on canvas panel .
The tripod mahogany base with shaped legs onto pad feet, the elegant turned column supporting the pole surmounted with an acorn finial . The Chinese painted oil on canvas panel depicts a traditional scene with figures in a landscape, having a pavilion and a flowering cherry blossom tree. Vibrant bright colours , probably having been professionally and skilfully cleaned in recent years . No damage or repairs to the painting.
The verso with damask-style fabric covering , the edge with a mahogany moulded surround.
The mahogany stand having a rich original colour and patina with no damage or repairs.
A highly decorative piece of occasional furniture, to bring an exotic Chinese accent to a traditional interior scheme.
