Pearse Lukies Antiques Ltd has dated this William and Mary Bureau to the 17th Century.
Beneath the fall front are two further drawers and another fall which rests on pull out lopers, behind which is a fitted interior. The bottom section has three drawers, standing on four square tapering painted front legs, a shelf and two back legs united by a panelled back board. Interestingly, the secondary timber is elm, as can be seen on the drawer fronts and interior. This is a really interesting and probably unique piece of English furniture
