Exquisite Edwardian Silver Purse by S. Blanckensee & Sons, Birmingham 1906

1900 - 1920
Description

This very pretty Edwardian sterling silver purse was made by the made by the prolific S. Blanckensee & Sons and is dated Birmingham 1906. Of rounded rectangular form, both sides engraved with foliate scrolls. The front with a vacant cartouche. The push button opening to reveal the original blue moire silk compartmentalised interior.

Hallmarks:

S.B & S. Ltd for S Blanckensee & Sons.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "g" for 1906.

Dimensions:

Width: 7cm / 2.7 inches.

Height: 5cm / 2 inches.

Condition:

Very good throughout.
