Lambilotte, who was burnin the UK, trained at the Academies of Namur and Brussels with Alfred Bastien and Frans Smeers. After living for a while in Brussels, he settled in Godinne in 1955. He painted many Ardennes landscapes, but also painted portraits and still lifes. He used a generous brush stroke and clear and luminous palette. In Godinne, he found his inspiration in the Meuse valley. He was a member of the "L'Esquisse" circle in Namur and exhibited there in 1934 and 1937.
