A koro is a traditional Japanese vessel designed for burning incense, frequently featuring a pierced lid to allow smoke to escape. Imari versions are produced using high-fired porcelain decorated with underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron-red and gold enamels, a style refined during the Edo and Meiji periods.
