In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

George V silver pocket flasks, produced between 1910 and 1936, are characterised by clean lines, functional ergonomic shapes, and solid sterling silver construction, often reflecting the transition from late Edwardian design into Art Deco geometric simplicity.

These flasks were typically raised from sheet sterling silver, featuring a gently curved body designed to sit comfortably in a jacket pocket, paired with a fitted screw cap or bayonet mechanism.

Authentic British silver from this era bears a clear set of stamped hallmarks: the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham assay office, a date letter, and a registered makers mark.

An antique silver flask can be displayed as a decorative accessory on a tray, styled alongside glass decanters on a sideboard, or placed on an office desk or bookshelf.

Clean silver gently using a soft microfibre cloth and specialized silver polish to remove oxidisation, and ensure the interior is rinsed with warm water and thoroughly dried before long-term storage.
