The slim solid mahogany case with architectural pediment to the top, brass finial set to the centre. Fruitwood and ebony strung panel below with sunbursts to the corners, hygrometer set to the centre with remote adjuster to the side. Silvered scale below with original patinated finish, mercury action barometer tube reading to the centre of the scale with vernier marker; red alcohol thermometer set to the side. The slim trunk with moulded edges and stringing to match the top of the case, visible barometer tube set to the centre, trunked spherical cistern cover to the base with locking bolt below.
