Art Deco 1.26 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1940

Description

A bright, bold, and beautiful vintage engagement ring. The glowing natural old European cut diamond in the centre is secured in an eight-claw 'French setting;' with an open gallery and set about a scalloped back-plate which reflects light back into the stone. Six natural baguette cut diamonds (three each side) of graduating sides are set in the step-down shoulders, leading to a slender platinum shank. A very impressive Art Deco engagement ring.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR.

Cut:The centre is an old European cut, with baguette cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour:The centre is L. The diamonds in the shoulders are I to K.

Clarity: The centre is SI2 (clean to the naked eye). The diamonds in the shoulders are VS1 to VS2.

Carat: The centre is 1.26, with a further approximate 0.55 carat in the shoulders.

Circa: 1940.

Size: K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The diamond is approximately 6.7mm in diameter and sits 8.3mm from the finger.

Metal Stamped PLATINUM inside the band, and tested to confirm.
