Description

A delightful antique oil painting on canvas of a Guernsey cow "Stagenhoe Rose of Gold" signed and dated by William Albert Clark 1915. As the Son of Albert Clark and Grandson James Clark, William Albert Clark comes from a background of acclaimed animal artists. Although William was actually registered as ‘Albert William’, he was formerly known by his middle name to avoid confusion with his father. The painting is in good condition and has been tastefully reframed in a new maple and gilt trimmed frame. Dimensions provided are for the overall picture including the frame. The internal picture dimensions are W: 52cm and H: 41cm.
