Art Deco 2.60 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1935

1920 - 1940
Description

An absolutely awesome antique diamond engagement ring. The natural diamond - graded as K colour by HRD Antwerp - tops up incredibly white, and fizzes with fire and brilliance. The clarity grading of SI2 is, to us, unfathomably harsh; the stone is not just eye-clean, but displays no imperfections even through a jeweller's loupe. We would have graded this as VS2. The diamond is secured in an eight-claw collet with triangular detailing in the gallery, leading to a slender 18k yellow gold shank with spear-shaped shoulders.

Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp.

Cut: Old European cut.

Colour: K.

Clarity: SI2 (the stone is clean to the naked eye).

Carat: 2.60.

Circa: 1935.

Size: M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements: The diamond is 8.91 x 9.06mm. Sits 5.85mm from the finger.

Weight: 3.48 grams.

Metal: 18k yellow gold. Tested.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
