Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The clarity grading of SI2 is, to us, unfathomably harsh; the stone is not just eye-clean, but displays no imperfections even through a jeweller's loupe. We would have graded this as VS2. The diamond is secured in an eight-claw collet with triangular detailing in the gallery, leading to a slender 18k yellow gold shank with spear-shaped shoulders.

Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp.
