Description

An attractive 19th Century ormolu casket which is probably Italian. It is a heavy piece which is allover decorated with raised bacchanal scenes of putti and raised on toupee feet. The interior is lined in the original moire silk which has some staining to the edges. Apart from this the box itself is in very good condition with no dents or losses. It is heavy and substantial weighing 1.7kg. Circa 1880.
