Rare Car Radiator Mascot. Woman With A Veil. Circa 1919.

B. Biegas (1877-1954), a rare ''Femme voilée'' (Women with a veil) mascot for Secqueville-Hoyau automobiles, circa 1919.
 
Signed, chrome/nickel plated bronze, 9.5cm high, mounted on a marble base. Can be unbolted from marble base and fixed to radiator cap and put back into vintage motoring service. Suitable for pre-war cars, and was specifically deployed on French Secqueville-Hoyau automobiles (1919 - 1924).
 
Excellent condition with good detailing. A rare French car mascot.
 
*Boleslaw Biegas (1877 - 1954) was a Polish painter, sculptor and playwright. In the years 1896-1901, he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His works are highly sought after.
