This is a tall Etruscan polychrome enamelled vase attributed to Harrach and dating from the middle of the 19th century, c1850. Similar vases are shown on pages 179-180 in “From Neuwelt to the Whole World: 300 Years of Harrach Glass” by Helena Bro Kova.

The vase is in excellent condition for its age. This means of course that it shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 170 years of use.

The vase has a baluster-shaped body measuring 7.8 cm (3.1 inches) in diameter at the everted pouring rim which features rubbed gilded bands. The vase is in white ''frosted'' glass decorated at the neck with a classic design in terracotta and black. The body is enamelled in terracotta with three mythical figures; probably deities. The vase ends in a base that also measures 7.8 cm (3.1 inches) in diameter. It is 11.5 cm (4.6 inches) in diameter at its widest point. The vase is 30 cm (12 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any other obvious evidence of restoration. There is a collector''s sticker to the base.

A nice vase weighing in at 600 g. (~ 1 lb. 5 oz.).
