Jane Short Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The tray base is allover decorated with hand engraved flora and four framed country scenes which depict a swan on a lake with country views, a small ship on the sea with cliffs, a little country cottage with trees and a duck in reeds with a countryside view in the background.
The whole is raised on four bun feet.
The condition is exceptional with no plate loss or dents. This is probably the best tray of its type we have ever found. It is heavy weighing in at 4.2kg.
