Solid Silver Tea Caddy 1899

Description

A Silver Tea Caddy.

The caddy with a wyvern twist finial, over the domed and hinged cover, finished with fluted corners, falling to the stepped rim. The bombe shaped body likewise with fluted corners, falling to scrolled leaf and lions paw feet, between the leaf decorated lower bowed edge of the body. The interior with good silver gilt.

The caddy hallmarked for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1899.
