Dating to the late Meiji period around the turn of the 20th Century, this pair of Satsuma vase are marked with the Shimazu Clan roundel and further for Seizan.

In extremely good original condition they feature ladies relaxing in a flower garden near a lake with a traditional Japanese house below Mount Fuji.
