Jane Short Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It is in excellent condition with no losses or damage. There are silver marks for London and the date mark is rubbed but probably for 1896.
It is well made, heavy and substantial with a good weight of solid silver. A very unique piece and one we have never seen before.
